Adam Wilkey D.C.
Adam Wilkey D.C. (Doctor of Chiropractic) graduated from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in 1988. He has spent most of his chiropractic working life in Oldham serving the needs of the local community. He has a special interest in the treatment chronic pain and spent 2 years with the College and a further period working with the local pain clinic and the chiropractic team at The University of Glamorgan studying the causes, treatment and rehabilitation
techniques for patients suffering with chronic back and neck pain
Having 6 children with his wife Esther has also led to further studies into the effects that spinal, muscular and nerve problems may have, not only in causing pain in children but also in developmental conditions such as ADHD and dyslexia.
Keen to follow his own advice Adam maintains a strict fitness routine by running and swimming regularly. He has run marathons, ultra-marathons (100kms) and can often be seen either on the streets of Oldham or Whitefield in his running gear or in the local pools ploughing up and down in the water.
During family holidays Adam can at times be found several hundred yards behind the family as he attempts to frame a picture or decide on the best time of day for photos to be taken indulging himself in his love of photography. Then in the evening he may be seen on the beach, hillside or in the streets of some town trying to get that perfect image. However, Snowdon and Bailey have nothing to fear.
